Do you need help navigating the American Heritage Girls uniform?
Below you will find detailed information about what is (and isn't) part of the AHG Girl Uniform.
Class A Uniforms
Class A uniforms are worn for our regular meetings, as well as any formal or important events. Each unit has a different uniform. Each uniform (with the exception of Pathfinder) will have an American flag, membership pin, and the numbers of our troop (3130). Links will be provided to each of these items at the appropriate level. In addition, more tips will be provided at the bottom!
Pathfinder | This uniform includes: Pathfinder t-shirt Pathfinder necklace Navy bottoms (non-legging pants, skirt, skort, or bermuda-length shorts). | Easiest way to buy: Start Up Package plus bottoms from your favorite store. |
Tenderheart | This uniform includes: Red vest White polo Blue neckerchief Navy bottoms (non-legging pants, skirt, skort, or bermuda-length shorts). | Easiest way to buy: Vest Package plus a polo and bottoms from your favorite store. |
Explorer | This uniform includes: Blue vest White polo Red neckerchief Khaki or navy bottoms (non-legging pants, skirt, skort, or bermuda-length shorts). | Easiest way to buy: Vest Package plus a polo and bottoms from your favorite store. |
Pioneer

Class B Uniforms
Class B uniforms are t-shirts that are optional to purchase. These are worn to many of our service projects, camps, social events, and other activities. (If you choose not to purchase one at this time, you would just wear a shirt with a modest neckline instead.)

Putting together your uniform may feel overwhelming the first time you do it! Follow the guides below to help you know where to put all your insignia and badges. You may either sew them on OR use BadgeMagic.

Adult Uniforms
REGISTERED LEADERS are also required to be in uniform. The adult uniform includes: Red or Navy Polo, Khaki or Navy Bottoms, and an ID Lanyard (the lanyard will be provided; you can print the ID from home once you complete your KEYS training). The polos tend to run a little small, so we recommend to go up one size if in doubt.
Additional Tips
A great time to buy your polos and bottoms is during school supply season (mid-July to mid-August). You can often find the right items at a great price at this time of year. Some stores we recommend include: Carters / Osh Kosh, Walmart, Kohls, and Target .
When ordering your uniform, make sure to choose 3130 as the numbers!
Make sure you order your handbook (Tenderheart/Explorer OR Pioneer/Patriot) when you order your uniform so that you only pay shipping once!
