WHEN WE MEET: Our troop generally meets on the 1st and 3rd Monday evenings of each month during the school year at Christ Community Church from 6:30-8:00 p.m. In addition, we have opportunities available once per month to do a service project and special events throughout the year.
COSTS FOR AHG: We want to be fully transparent about the cost of joining AHG. See our cost document about costs for our troop: NE3130_Costs24-25.pdf In addition, we do a large fundraiser every fall to help offset costs. Girls are expected to do their best at raising funds so that we can keep our costs low.
PARENT VOLUNTEERS: AHG is a volunteer organization that is not possible without the involvement of parents. Our troop requires the mom from each family to become a registered member so that she is able to participate in troop activities, especially camps. A parent from each family is asked to volunteer in some way and there are many ways to serve both large and small, with the girls or backstage, and in helping your daughter keep accurate records. AHG is NOT meant to be a drop-off program - girls are most successful when their parents are in tune with the program. For information on becoming a leader in one of our units (if there are positions open), please see this flyer: AHGLeaderInfo.pdf
MEETING STRUCTURE: Each meeting, we will begin as a large, all-ages group, in the Chapel. We will open with a flag ceremony, devotion, and songs. Next, girls will go into their individual units with girls their own ages to work on badgework. Finally, we will come back together in the Chapel for announcements, a special focus, and worship.
